Personal Update

You may or may not have noticed that I haven't been around the blogosphere much lately. The reason? Dusti, one of our cats, was having "issues": urinating and defecating outside the litter box. I've been coping with a nasty situation! And I'm still working on getting that smell out of the piano rug and the bedroom carpet.

Lab work at the veterinarian's office has shown that the poor girl has a "rip-roaring bladder infection" (the vet's own words). She is now confined to our recently remodeled bathroom, where she's behaving herself beautifully and comfortingly sheltered from the other cats. As of this evening, Dusti is receiving doses of antibiotics. She should feel better in a few days.
-----------------------------------------------
This latest health crisis for one of our cats comes just a week in advance of our scheduled trip to attend Mr. AOW's mother's family reunion. If my cat-feeding neighbor, a dog person, isn't comfortable with medicating Dusti, we'll have to board her at the vet's. Dusti can't miss a single dose of medication because the infection is so severe.

Now that the situation is under better control, I hope to be a more obvious presence in the blogosphere.

Note: Dusti's picture is viewable at this posting at AOW'S PHOTOS.
