WAYNE — On one side, a Wayne Valley High school student claims that his use of the word “Taliban” was innocent, mentioned in a conversation about a video game, according to his mother.

But to a Muslim student who overheard it at school on Thursday, it was upsetting. And she had perceived that he had looked at her when he said it, Principal Robert Reis said.

Now the boy is facing a one-day suspension on Monday, because, Reis said, he continued to talk about the incident and it got back to the girl and upset her. Reis said she felt the boy was boasting that he’d gotten away with something.

“This has nothing to do with the fact that the boy used a word,” Reis said. “This has everything to do with the boy hurt a girl’s feelings.” And after the boy was told by administrators not to discuss what happened, Reis said, “He went back and hurt her feelings a second time.”

But the boy’s mother, Rosa Giordano, said the incident “is totally being blown out of proportion” and she plans to fight the disciplinary action.

Giordano claims her son was embarrassed by the incident. She said he told a friend “nothing happened” because he didn’t want to talk about it, not to brag that he got away with anything.

So, do you believe the principal's explanation?

And what about the Muslim girl's perception? Are going to discipline students because they "perceive" something, whether or not an incident, in this case a glance, actually occurred?

I've been trying to find more information about the context of the boy's use of the word "Taliban," but have so far not found more details. Commenters are encouraged to leave any such information.

CAIR Drops The Mask

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla., Nov. 3, 2010 — On Thursday, November 4, the Oklahoma chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-OK) will hold a news conference with religious and civil rights leaders in the State Capitol Building to announce the filing of a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of an anti-Islam ballot measure (State Question 755) passed in yesterday’s election. The measure amends the state constitution to forbid judges from considering Islamic law or international law when making a ruling.

Let us be clear, it is not simply that they are religious zealots. Sharia law is the law of the land in Saudi Arabia and many other Muslim countries. When a person, or a group of people advocate for the replacement of our system of law with that of another country, that is called Sedition.

Never mind that Molly Norris had backtracked and disavowed the idea of draw Mohammed day as she never meant to insult Moslems.

Well, Moslems don't accept apologies for insulting their so-called prophet.

She will no longer be publishing cartoons in our paper or in City Arts magazine, where she has been a regular contributor.

She is, in effect, being put into a witness-protection program—except, as she notes, without the government picking up the tab.

It’s all because of the appalling fatwa issued against her this summer, following her infamous “Everybody Draw Mohammed Day” cartoon....

Here are some numbers on the Muslim Community in New York City, taken between 1998 and 1999: 28 mosques in Queens, 27 in Brooklyn, 20 in the Bronx, 17 in Manhattan and eight in Staten Island; however, all participants said they thought they had underestimated the number of mosques, because worshippers often set up small mosques in their apartments that are not visible from the street.

Shari'a Law In New Jersey

The case recently in New Jersey involved a restraining order, and the first court's decision to uphold Islamic law, also called "shari'a law, was struck down in appellate court.

But before rejoicing in justice done, check out the following about the first judge's ruling, a ruling which elevated shari'a law over New Jersey law:

...The court believes that he was operating under his belief that it is, as the husband, his desire to have sex when and whether he wanted to, was something that was consistent with his practices and it was something that was not prohibited.

After acknowledging that this was a case in which religious custom clashed with the law, and that under the law, plaintiff had a right to refuse defendant's advances, the judge found that defendant did not act with a criminal intent when he repeatedly insisted upon intercourse, despite plaintiff's contrary wishes.

Having found acts of domestic violence consisting of assault and harassment to have occurred, the judge turned to the issue of whether a final restraining order should be entered. He found such an order unnecessary, vacated the temporary restraints previously entered in the matter and dismissed plaintiff's domestic violence action....

Shari'a law does have guidelines about sexual relations between man and wife, never mind all the Islamophilic propaganda to the contrary:

Muhammad said: "If a husband calls his wife to his bed [i.e. to have sexual relation] and she refuses and causes him to sleep in anger, the angels will curse her till morning" (Bukhari 4.54.460).

He also said: "By him in Whose Hand lies my life, a woman can not carry out the right of her Lord, till she carries out the right of her husband. And if he asks her to surrender herself [to him for sexual intercourse] she should not refuse him even if she is on a camel's saddle" (Ibn Majah 1854).

That any court in the United States should even temporarily elevate shari'a law over our rule of civil law should sound an alarm bell!

CAIR Sues DuPage County, Illinois

For not granting a permit to build an Islamic center:

The Council on American and Islamic Relations sued DuPage County Board Chairman Bob Schillerstrom and several other county officials Thursday over the refusal to grant a permit to build an Islamic learning center.

Alleging violations of the First Amendment (free exercise of religion, speech and assembly), the 14th Amendment (equal protection) and the 2000 Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act, Chicago-CAIR is charging that the county unfairly discriminated against the proposed Irshad Learning Center, an Islamic institution...

Not a surprise, really, that CAIR is attempting this.

I can't imagine that CAIR can win this one. But in these days of surreal inversionism, who knows?

The Christmas Day Jihadist

Infidel Bloggers Alliance has extensive coverage of yesterday's attempted attack. Excerpt, citing Fox News:

U.S. officials say a Northwest Airlines passenger from Nigeria said he was acting on behalf of Al Qaeda when he tried to blow up a flight Friday as it landed in Detroit.

Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., identified the suspect as Abdul Mudallad, a Nigerian. King said the flight began in Nigeria and went through Amsterdam en route to Detroit.

One of the U.S. intelligence officials said the explosive device was a mix of powder and liquid. It failed when the passenger tried to detonate it.

The passenger was being questioned Friday evening.

Both of the officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation was continuing.

The motive of the Christmas Day attack was not immediately clear.

"He appears to have had some kind of incendiary device he tried to ignite," said one of the U.S. officials.

Authorities initially believed the passenger had set off firecrackers that caused some minor injuries....

The "right of return" has long been considered the backdoor to Israel's destruction. But not only that: ATFP President Ziad Asali is an America-basher who blamed 9/11 on U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East. Asali was a lead U.S. official to PLO terrorist Yassir Arafat's funeral in 2004. And in a position paper in 2007, the ATFP called for a power-sharing agreement at the Palestinian Authority, which would have included the State Department's designated-terrorist group, Hamas.

A little something the lamestream media is avoiding telling about Salahi. Heh.

Is this failure not emblematic of the much larger failure, to know a...thing about Islam, to know the texts on which Nidal Malik Hasan relied, the very texts that support fully his view that Infidels are be decapitated, have boiling oil poured down their throats, and so on? The Qur'anic passages -- the passages that every Muslim who claims to be a Muslim is also telling you he believes to part of a text that is the literal Word of God, and so we are entitled to hold him to that, to regard him as thinking, and perhaps someday acting, on that -- are there for all to see. Robert Spencer posted those relevant texts here the other day, for all to see. He could have posted many more. What is wrong with those who claim to be able to instruct and protect us? They cannot properly protect us, or even themselves, if they are going to continue to be wilfully ignorant. They have no claim to authority. They have no claim on us. They are losing authority. They are no longer to be listened to, if they continue to behave, to talk, to act, in this matter of Islam, like fools.

Meanwhile, the probe searching for Hasan's motives continues with Ahmed Faisal heading the FBI investigation. Faisal has been quoted by MSNBC as follows:

"[W]e are now confident that Hasan's faith played absolutely no role in his state of mind leading up to this tragedy. End of subject."

"End of subject?" That's the FBI's attitude?

Sounds like shari'a to me: Under strict Islamic law, filthy infidels are not allowed to investigate Moslems.

Major Malik Nidal Hasan On BHO's Transition Team?

Malik Nidal Hasan, the alleged shooter in the massacre that resulted in at least 12 dead and 31 wounded at Fort Hood [on November 5], served on the Homeland Security Policy Institute’s presidential transition task force between April 2008 and January 2009 when Barack Obama was inaugurated as the nation’s 44th president.

The task force was not officially affiliated with the White House. It was a project of the Homeland Security Policy Institute, an independent thinktank housed at George Washington University, aimed at drafting policy recommendations for the incoming Obama administration.

Law enforcement officials became aware of Hasan at least six months ago after "internet postings that discussed suicide bombings and other threats," according to AP.

So far, it appears that Hasan was a lone-wolf jihadist. In many respects, the lone jihadist poses a grave danger.

Just imagine if one were to shoot up a crowded shopping mall! Or a school!

Would our leaders then wake up as to the motive?

At the moment, Hasan's murder spree is being classified as one with unknown motive. Pfffft! According to eyewitness accounts, Hasan shouted "Allahu akbar!" when he opened fire.

Of course, shortly after 9/11, we heard a lot about "What is the motive?" Pffffft, again!

Here in Northern Virginia, we're getting a lot of local media coverage on Hasan as he was born and reared here in Northern Virginia. Would not that mean that Hasan should have been a moderate Moslem, a Westernized Muslim? Well, apparently he was not.

Now we have a lot of dead people, their deaths the direct result of Hasan's planned-in-advance actions. Those actions were based on the tenets of Islam.

Continues political correctness will get a lot of Americans killed! Special screening of Moslems in the West is imperative.

• NOW THAT SHE HAS REITERATED THAT SHE BELIEVES WHAT SHE SAID, SHE MUST BE FIRED AT ONCE.

• THERE'S ONLY ONE REASON OBAMA WOULD KEEP HER: HE AGREES.

In Egyptian dialect of Arabic, they pronounce the "J" sound as "G" (as in goat). So the actual pronunciation of her last name, if I am correct about her descent, is Mojahed (or Mujahid) and that literally means "one who carries out Jihad"...
